Distance measuring

The distance of a jump is measured from the take-off to the point where the athlete touches the ground in the landing area. In earlier times, this was done by people that were standing on the side of the landing area, now it is done by a special video system. This ensures exact and objective measurement of the distances correct to 0.5 m. |
