In skijumping, each of the five judges can award up to 20 points for a jump. They judge on the flight and on the landing on the basis of predetermined criteria. Maximum deduction for the flight phase are 5 points, for the landing phase another 5 points and for the deceleration phase 7 points. The highest and the lowest score is then annulled and the remaining three result in the total score, together with the distance points.
