The Summer Grand-Prix is a competition series that was introduced in 1998 and is the equivalent of the World-Cup in winter. The events serve as a good opportunity for the athletes to compare their shape and also for the FIS to test new rules in competitions on the highest level. The skijumping takes place on plastic hills with the normal winter equipment. The cross country part is conducted on roller skis.
