Team Norge wins with old virtues
Second day - second discipline. And lots of excitement. With the many exchanges in the team sprint in Predazzo there were many changes in the positions in the course of the race. At the end the traditional Norwegian virtues were decisive for the victory. Mikko Kokslien and Magnus Moan started as eighth, more than a minute behind the winners of the jumping, Jason Lamy Chappuis and Maxime Laheurte, soon took the lead in the race and captured a clear victory. The other two spots on the podium went to France. Behind the winners of the jumping, Sebastien Lacroix and Francois Braud finished third.

Team Germany II with Tino Edelmann and Johannes Rydzek showed the strongest performance on the hill, but Edelmann fell after the landing on 135.5 m. The 26-year-old didn't suffer any injuries, but his team lost 20 points and so they were only sixth after the jumping. Lamy Chappuis and Laheurte started the race with a lead of 16 seconds ahead of the Germans Eric Frenzel and Fabian Riessle.
The athletes of head coach Hermann Weinbuch already closed the gap after two laps, but the leading group wasn't able to defent the lead against the competition. So the Norwegians came to the top. Then there was a group of 10 athletes leading the race. With very good skis the Norwegians could break away on the last downhill. Frenzel and Riessle could close this gap again, but Moan had a lead of a couple of seconds again at the beginning of the final lap. The Scandinavians won the race with a great performance in cross country.
World Cup leader Jason Lamy Chappuis once again showed his strength in the tactical fight for the second place. He had a lead on the final climb and that was enough for him to defend this place until the finish line. Sebastien Lacroix won the final sprint for the third place against Germany's Fabian Riessle.
